Per the request of numerous people, I’m writing/videoing this blog post. With all of the projects that I am involved in (more on that in another post) the blog seems to get pushed to the side.
But it shouldn’t be that way.
So here I am, again, making the promise to myself that I’ll try and write a blog post/post a video at least once a week!
This is what’s on tap right now. I just filmed a fairly quick video (tons of cool content) that shows how I’ve been advertising with Facebook.
I’m showing you in this video how to get started and why you shouldn’t be afraid of spending lots of money doing it (because it’s dirt cheap!).
Check out the video and let me know what you think in the comments below!
How about it, wanna start with Facebook now? DO IT!
Let me know what you learn along the way because I’m definitely no expert on this stuff!

Hey Joe, I have never tried facebook ads, but I really do think I will have a go now. Getting free traffic can be so hard at the beginning so this might give me the boost I need right now, great video, I like how you have the little inshot of yourself in it too, Sally

Hey Sally,
Great to hear you’re going to get started! I only wish I knew how simple this is when I was getting started.
SEO and other free traffic ways are important, but sometimes take way too long to get going.
Best of luck!

Hey Joe,
Where are you finding this stuff? This is just another absolutely golden nugget that you have provided us with.
Looking forward to trying it mate.

Yo Andy,
This is stuff that I just came up with by jumping right into Facebook advertising. It’s really easy to get into, but most people don’t know squat about it!
Let me know if you get going with it. It’s been able to drive some serious traffic to my sites with very minimal funds.
See ya buddy,
Joe

Ok I would really like a massive discussion on this, and a lot of comments to see what you use.

Good info Joe!
I’m not ready for that yet, still building on my blog.
I can see how that can work well on a small budget.
Hope to be trying it out soon.
Can you recommend a good tutorial on how to set up a second,
(multiple) blog website as mini sites? I’m using Hostgator.
Thanks.

Hi Kwin,
Thanks a lot for stopping by and checking out the video. When you’re ready, definitely get into Facebook ads.
For blog tutorials, I always recommend my buddy, Matt Wolfe’s WordPress Classroom.

After you opt-in, you’ll see how much free and indepth content he gives you.
Really good stuff.
Best of luck and talk soon!

Hey Joe,
Facebook ads are something that I have been meaning to look into further for quite a while!
Sounds like they are pretty simple, and produce great results too
I will get on the case this week!

Hi Joe,
Thanks for showing me another way of generating traffic, your video is great.
It is pretty excited to see the how many people you are targeting for your product/blog and cost structure looks quite reasonable. I will give it a go.
Thanks again

That’s awesome, Nad. Best of luck to you!
Let me know what you learn. We all have more to learn with this.

Hi Joe
Thanks for the video…great! I have tried facebook a few times and get good responces…I am finding the latest offer (Easy cash webinar) is always refused even with revisions. I wonder if you may have any suggestions.

Hey Nick,
I know your frustrations, man. As I haven’t seen your ad, all I recommend is to really make sure your ad is super truthful and fully disclosing what your site offers (I’m sure you’ve already tried this).
Just keep tweaking while keeping that in mind.
Let me know if that helps you!
Joe
Hi Joe
Excellent video explaining the basics of Facebook ads, this is powerful stuff. I’m not doing this yet although I pretend to do it in the future. For the moment I’m trying Banner Ads in Google Content Network, which is working great and very cheap as well.
Cheers

Hey Jorge,
Thanks for commenting and telling about how you’re doing with banner ads at Google. That’s something I haven’t tried myself, but looks like it’s worth looking into.
Let me know how Facebook Ads do for you later on!

Joe:
Great video! Facebook ads came up in conversation with my wife the other day. She said she had noticed all the different ads and wondered if we should put up an ad for our new business.
I told he I would think about it because I lost quite a bit of cash on Google Adwords.
You do make it look pretty easy. I know I need to go ahead and give it a try. I will also check into the cost per thousand and test it and see how it works.
Keep bringing it and I’ll keep listening.
Also, how did you do the picture-in-picture recording?

Hey Rick,
Cool coincidence that you guys were talking about Facebook ads.
Let me know how you do with your testing once you get going. I’m always tweaking new things here and there.
For the PIP, I use Screenflow (screen recording for Mac). There’s an option before I record that asks if I’d like a camera image of myself in there. It also gives me the option to drag it around or resize it.
Pretty sure that Camtasia has the same option.
Hope that helps! Talk soon man,
Joe
Will this now extend to other social sites?
I’m not at the moment. I’m working to refine the Facebook ads first and then I’ll judge if I should move to others. But right now, FB looks to have the best ways to target specific demographics.
