This has been on the top of my mind for quite some time now and didn’t really strike me until just the other day.
I was commenting on some threads in the Warrior Forum and started answering questions from a couple of newbies just starting out in internet marketing.
We went back and forth a few times in private messaging and they had more questions, so I was just shooting back my best responses from my own experiences.
This is when it really hit me. One of the guys said that he “extremely appreciates the thought out responses I’m giving him” and “WOW, you actually just solved my problem completely!”
They continued to tell me that they were not expecting such a response from someone they’ve never talked to and someone who has experience.
I realized that many marketers don’t like spending the time to genuinely HELP people when they have a question and that most people are shooting themselves in the foot because of it.
That led me to creating the video below and how you could start helping people do the same.
This is something that I have done since day one, so if you’re just starting out or even have been in the game for a while, this will genuinely help you!

Hey Joe.
Very nice post. You are right most of those gurus these days are more worried about building products and making millions. The only time the do think about the little guy is when they about to launch a new product so they do take a little time just to teach how the product works. It sure feels nice to take some time to help others, to me it feels nice just to see where you are now. You were once where I am and now you are in a financially comfortable place to help others reach their goals and dreams of freedom too.
Thanks for the really cool comment buddy, I’m happy I could help you out a bit.
It is unfortunate that a lot of the big guys only really get active with their subscribers when they have a launch coming up.
A great example of someone doing this correctly is Gary Vaynerchuk (Google him). He’s not in the IM niche, but he’s a huge name in the wine industry and takes the time to respond to every person who comments on his videos… plus he’s super funny in video!
I’ll see ya around man!
Joe
Hi Joe,
You’re a natural mate.
People relate to you because you actually are doing all the points you made in your video about giving value, being different and being active.
Your video skills are great as well..not even the guy mowing the lawn put you off your natural stride…as always appreciated your post

Hey Peter – Thanks a lot man!
It’s funny because it really doesn’t take much effort to be a little different and start to stand out from the crowd.
I know that by mentioning this idea to you guys could make my message “not so unique” if more people start doing this, but maybe we’ll see a change in the industry.
I may be hoping a little too much just from my messages, but it’s a start!
Talk to ya soon man.
Joe
Hey Joe,
I once asked someone a question and they sent me an affiliate link!
I am always take time to reply personally to people, right now I have the time to do that, if I got a 100 times busier it may be a tad harder.
I dont like ad-swaps, I personally hate getting them, if I sign up to a list, I want products from that person not 100 other marketers I have never heard of.
I enjoyed your video, I got a lot from it as always, thanks for sharing such valuable content for FREE!

Now talk about exactly what NOT to do when trying to “help” someone – send an affiliate link. Geez!
Responding to everyone could definitely take a lot of time up, but just the thought of really helping people and getting people to really like what I do will always make it worth while. Plus, splitting it up throughout the day makes it a little more fun
Talk to ya soon Sally!
Joe
Common sense stuff that needs to be repeated because so many people forget. You can’t fall into a rut and forget to give that all important value. Thanks, great video!
Very true, Gary. A lot of the most important things that we “learn” everyday are very simple and are really just reminders.
That’s why I love reading so much and watching videos… it always seems like you’ll be reminded of something that you should be doing.
See ya around man!
Joe
Hey Joe,
it’s always nice to remember we are all human. I also try to be helpful, etc. I’m willing to give and help, but at some point, if somebody is going to be a time leach, I am more than happy to refer them to a resource where I’m going to make some money.

Most definitely man.
There are some people that can really eat up your time, but it’s all in the way to approach the situation.
If they are not absolutely pressing for help or if it’s obvious they’re trying to take advantage of you, I wouldn’t hesitate to either tell them so or direct them somewhere else.
Thanks for mentioning that side of things
Joe
Hey Joe
Long time no speak my friend…how you keeping?
Nice post mate, love the value that you clearly add with your interactions.
Keep doing it!

Joe
Hey Joe,
Good to see you around again, man. I’ve been doing really well. Lots of different things happening here at the biz… so it’s keeping me on my toes!
What’s new for you?
I’ll speak to you soon buddy.
Joe

Davy Norton
Hey Davy,
I’m happy you enjoyed the video. I’m hoping to put something like this out for you guys every week or so.
Now that I’ve said it on here, I guess I have to stick with it!
Thanks for the comment and come back again!
Joe
Hello Joe,
Absolutely, stay true tro that personal touch with the fans and customers. It appears the gurouus making alot of money stop answering customer emails and the support system declines.
You seem to be doing a great job online. Awesome job!
To our success….
Richard
Hey Richard,
Thanks for the awesome works, man!
It’s unfortunate that the big guys sometimes lose contact with people, but at least we can learn from them.
I’m sure it’s really difficult once you get much busier, but at least a small response would be better than none at all.
How are things going with you buddy?
Talk to ya soon,
Joe
Joe,
I really appreciate you sharing that. I guess my one question is how you find time to do all that…respond to all the people, search out new niche markets and personally reply to everyone there. It would seem to me to be an overwhelming task, particularly since you write such detailed responses to people.
