Wow I’ve really been on a roll with this blogging thing. It’s really fun now that I’m back into the swing of things!
How are you liking the new stuff?
Anyways, today I just finished editing this quick video I shot the other day.
In here I’m talking about how I’ve been doing some offline sales stuff on the side. I’ve been doing this for: one, it’s pretty good money and two, it helps to refine my skills as a salesman.
Not only has this offline stuff helped me really sell a bunch of products in-person, but it has also allowed me to become more comfortable selling to people online.
A lot of people have been or still are in these sales types of positions. If you’re not and you feel like you need some help with your online sales, check out the video. I give you some pointers and ways to sharpen your sales skills.
Just remember, sales is not a dirty word. It’s the only way you’ll ever make a living online, so become the best you can at it!

Hey Beezer,
Thanks for stopping by, man. I’m glad you enjoyed the video… hopefully you got some cool info from it!
Good luck with AJ’s training and I’m sure I’ll see you at an event or two one day.
Joe
Cool, you’re a lot more like myself than I thought you would be. I like your style.
Awesome, Gary… I like people like me!
Come back again soon buddy.
Take care,
Joe
Very interesting Joe. I have seen folks in the supermarkets funny thing is they never really try to sell the products.
Glad to see selling in the stores is helping you with the online sales.
I am considering selling at least for the rest of the summer Svengalli Cards. They are a trick deck of cards that some magicians sell at flea markets and on street corners.
Hey George,
Yeah man, most of those people are not only out there to pass out the product but to get some sales.
It’s crazy how little things you say or do effect in-person sales, just as they do online.
Definitely some powerful stuff!
Good luck with your new venture man. Come back around here again!
Joe
Hey Joe,
thanks for the pointers. Remeeting the girlfriend/wife.
I agree you gotta be a hustler and get things moving…make some sales.
That would be an interesting story.

Hey Brandon,
Yeah man, the whole story about how my wife and I “remet” was pretty interesting.
Cliff Notes version:
We went to middle school together and I thought she was drop dead gorgeous.
About 4 years ago I was looking for a part-time gig (the job I mentioned in the video) and she happened to be the one that hired me on.
Now we’re married… crazy crazy world, man!
Hi Joe,
Enjoyed your video and it’s good to hear you recommend people to try out some offline sales experiences.
Some people are dead scared of the word “sales” and believe they can escape this issue by marketing online.
But I believe that everyone who is successful online has to have great sales capacity and we should not be put off by the term “sales.”
It’s nothing to be ashamed of and even, for example, convincing your kids to do something they have avoided doing previously, also shows your sales capacity.
Thanks Joe..down to earth and very realistic

You’re definitely right about that one, Peter!
So many people see “sales” as almost a dirty word. And when you mix that with “sales online”, maybe people think instantly “scam artist”.
Sales skills are essential for any person who wants to make money in business, period.
Unfortunately they didn’t have a course on this at the business university I graduated from. I wonder why?
Hey Joe,
Cool video. Although we’re taught to market instead of sell…having the sales skills too certainly won’t hurt your bank balance
Thanks for sharing this tip and cool to learn a little more about you too!

Most definitely, Rob. Gotta pay the bills somehow!
Thanks for stopping by bro, speak soon.

Hey Joe,
Nice shirt!!
I totally agree with you that being skilled at offline sales will help you online. I did it offline for years but as a technician so it wasn’t that difficult to sell because I already proved to the customer that they needed the parts to make their equipment work properly. I’m certainly no smooth fast talker that can sell sand in the desert.
Even if you are a good sales person offline to be successful online you have to be able to bring those skills to your keyboard of your computer and that’s where good copywriting skills come into play.
If you really want to be good at selling online I suggest you hone up your creative writing skills.

I definitely agree with that one, Jeff. That’s something that a lot of people lack and it’s definitely working against the success of their business.
Copywriting skills is really an art and people need to study them to get really good at it. I’m not the best, but the more salespages and free offers I write, the better it gets!
Talk soon Jeff

Sup Joe,
Great video man, I commented on your youtube channel but wanted to tell you again thanks for the great info.
I also think watching what makes people buy at the small business level can be taken to the internet marketing level.
Thanks

Yeah man, thanks a lot for the comments bro. I really appreciate them!
Unfortunately a lot of people are scared to sell. But sometimes that’s really what the potential customer wants and needs. Plus if you weren’t good at selling, how long are you really going to be in business for?
I’ll see you around Edson. Thanks again man!
