So I’ve been really battling with the web traffic gods and been trying to figure out what methods would be great starting points to produce some substantial, long-term traffic to my blog.
I’m sure you’ve heard of an almost endless list of traffic generating techniques and have probably even acted on a few. And if you’re like me, you might have been a little overwhelmed and didn’t know where to put most of you time and efforts into.
Well, from the research that I’ve done and information I’ve gathered from talented internet marketers and proven money-makers like Alex Jeffreys, I’ve come up with three methods that I’ve been using as a solid base for generating some loads of traffic.
Check out the video to see what these are and start implementing them yourself. These are all free methods, so the only thing you need to sacrifice is your time. But we all know it will pay off for you in the long run!
Just remember that these methods are only the tip of the iceberg in ways to generate great traffic. Be sure to expand your methods so you are well diversified and are not relying on one source for all of your traffic… you don’t want to be left to dry if that method dies out!
Jeez, now I’m sounding like a financial adviser or something with properly managing your assets!
I hope this helps you out!

Hey Joe,
Some awesome tips!
I have yet to delve into the social bookmarking sites in great detail, BUT, now you have reminded me it is definitely something I must get into, as I know this will help produce results
Great videos, I am really starting to look forward to them on a daily basis…!

Hey Rob,
That’s so great to hear what you think, man. You’re doing an OUTSTANDING job yourself with the videos and Youtube, it’s unbelievable!
I checked out Gary V and actually watched his entire 20 min show… and laughed all the way though! This is definitely someone I’m going to continue to watch and get some pointers from.
Now, I’m off to check out your post on Google and Youtube. My biggest problem is the lack of viewers on my videos, so I hope to learn a thing or two!
Take care man.

Hey Bro,
Great video
I always love the video whilst driving you videos that you see online although I do sometimes wonder whether or not it’s slightly dangerous?
Anyway good stuff man and I’m still loving that cleaned smooth slick look of the Mac stuff. I’m going to have to get myself one so I can cover creating videos on a Mac in the video marketing classroom.com website. But until I get one im going to hook up with you and do some videos like we spoke about. looking forward to it buddy!
I totally agree about your comment to do with adding value whenever you comment whether it’s on a blog or in a forum is really important to act you take the time to leave some sort of comment which has value rather than just effectively spamming to get “face time”.
Great post once again buddy and I look forward to speaking to you soon!

Hey Joe,

Three very effective traffic generating methods you mentioned. I think forum posting is widely overlooked, but can be a great source of traffic to your sites. As you say, add relevant comments to each thread and don’t just SPAM it, people will take notice and likely click on you’re signature link.
Video’s are also great, just don’t make to many while you’re driving, i don’t want to see a crash video of yours
Cheers Joe,
Paul

Hey Paul,
Thanks for the great feedback, my friend!
I’m hoping to get a camera mount in my car so it’d free my hands up and give you guys a nice view while I’m talking! I know you guys don’t want to just look at my face for 4+ mins.
And I know you’ve been doing a good job posting at the WarriorForum, as well. I’ve seen you on multiple occasions over there. So I’m sure it’s paying of for you, as well!
Till next time,
Joe

Hi Joe,
I’m just starting to look at creating a few videos on YouTube.
A couple of questions for you; Do you think it’s worth customizing my YouTube channel, or is that just fluff?
I found the following link on Squidoo
http://www.squidoo.com/how_to_customize_your_YouTube_channel
Finally, you talk about leaving your signature URL in the post when commenting in blogs.
Should I be adding a URL into the comment box? or by filling in the website address in the website box above, is that enough to create a back link?
Thanks
John

Hey John, sorry it took a little bit to get back to you on here…
I’d say that customizing your Youtube channel is great for personal branding, just as people do with their Twitter accounts. I don’t believe it’s necessary to get great traffic, but could allow it to stand out from the rest.
And you’re exactly right about leaving your URL in the address box on comment forms… that automatically creates an additional backlink to your site. That’s the easiest way to get higher ranked on Google and elsewhere!
Talk soon John!

Hi Joe –
Great video. Quick question, what camera are you using? I have yet to venture into video marketing but would be interested in learning what you use (video quality was great). Take care…

Hey Paul,
Thanks a lot for the great feedback, man!
The camera that I use is a Flip HD. I used the 8 GB, not the Mino. If you looked them up, you’d see what I’m talking about.
Yeah man, the quality on those things are top notch, and it’s only about $200 in the stores.
Also, check out some comparable products on Amazon. There are some other similar cameras going for much less.
Take care Paul!

Hey Joe,
three great tips on increasing traffic.
The warrior forum is a must. I’ve neglected it for a week or two, but you’ve reminded me to get back there and get involved.
Also, I think the social book marking is going to get real big in a relatively short space of time, so something to definitely get into and get familiar with.
Cheers,
Andrew.
PS. Noce casual, authoritive style in front of the camera!

Hey Andrew!
Man, it has been a while since I’ve made a video like this… and I miss it!
But you’re completely right, the Warrior Forum has helped a bunch with backlinking and snagging some traffic to the blog. I lose touch with it from time to time, but that’s ok, just be sure to keep up with it when you can.
The social bookmarking is something that I’ve had some great luck with, especially StumbleUpon. Of all of them, that’s what I’d have to recommend to start with. Social bookmarking is definitely the beginning of something huge, so I’m happy we’re starting with it!
Take care my friend,
Joe
